Going to the Beach
Today the sun is shining down brightly & so it seems everyone is going to the beach!
And rightly so!
Whoever, and wherever you are, find your way to the coast. Find your own little piece of paradise.
Dip your feet into the ocean or a lake!! Squish some sand between your toes!!
Dive into the waves, waterski, surf, paddle, swim…do whatever it is that makes YOU happy today!!

Going to the Beach is the thing that does that for me.
Take the time to stop & receive all the blessings that nature has to offer for there is much to appreciate & enjoy right before our very eyes…each & every day.
Boating at Sunset
The wonder of nature as the sun’s rays hit the water at the end of a long day is truly a sight to experience.
Here are a couple of my favorite boating at sunset pictures taken near Steveston, a quaint fishing village on the West Coast of British Columbia.
Imagine boating at sunset, just outside of Steveston, B.C. on a majestic summer evening.
Sunset on the water as the boats come into the harbor after a day of fun!
Being lucky enough to live on the spectacular West Coast of British Columbia I realize that boating at sunset is truly a privilege.
Another day is over as the sun sets over the commercial fishing boats in Steveston Harbor, British Columbia.
Spectacular Rugged Sunsets
No matter where in the world you find yourself at the end of a day, it’s possible to find a spectacular sunset.
Although moments mostly not captured, we have all seen hundreds, if not thousands of colorful, spectacular sunsets that no doubt have left us in awe of the wonder & beauty of nature.
From the majestic beauty of a tropical sunset such as in Ixtapa, Mexico…
To the unsuspecting rugged beauty of a beaten down pier at the end of a dyke in Steveston, B.C.
A spectacular prairie sunset in the snow is also a wonder to behold in just the right moment…
Many of us take for granted what beauty surrounds us on a daily basis. Take a look around & remember to see & appreciate the wonder of nature in all it’s rugged beauty & majesty.
California’s Rugged Beauty
Most think of California’s Beaches as anything but rugged beauty!
Take a walk down the pier at Santa Monica, stroll the gorgeous beaches of Santa Barbara…
Hang at Balboa Island, Newport Beach or spend the day watching the toned bodies of the surfers at Huntington Beach & ‘rugged’ beauty is not a term that generally comes to mind!
However, for those who have driven the majestic Pacific Coast Highway of California, you know what I mean when I say…there is MUCH rugged beauty… & so many magical places to discover.
Really taking the time to get up close and personal with some of the natural beauty will be extremely rewarding for anyone lucky enough to take this journey. Flora and fauna scattered throughout the rocks and crevices of the shoreline are quite something to behold.
Beauty is everywhere along this magnificent California Coast. Just waiting to be discovered & appreciated by those who take the time to stop and “smell the roses” along the journey of their lives.
I would suggest taking a partner along for this excursion!! Trust me, it was not easy to do this trip solo!
This is a great trip for a meaningful, introspective experience. However, trying to navigate the winding roads, take in all the rugged beauty of the drive & snap the odd photo along the way can be downright near impossible!!!
East Coast Rugged Beauty
The North Atlantic East Coast of Canada is a wildly majestic place.
Newfoundland, North America’s most Easterly point…….a place of vast and fascinating rugged beauty.
St. John’s Harbor one of the world’s largest, naturally protected harbors, is a first or last stop to many a vessel on its journey across the mighty, unforgiving Atlantic.
St. John’s is a city of much history & culture…from the food to the music…to the Newfie ‘accent’ still spoken by many native Islanders. You’re sure to get invited home for “jig’s dinner” by just about anyone you meet.
Afterwards, go downtown to ”Kiss the Cod” & get “Screeched In” at a pub on St. John’s infamous George Street!!
Signal Hill with Cabot Tower perched atop, overlooks St. John’s Harbor & the Atlantic Ocean from every direction. It is one of the first & most popular stops for visitors to the Island. Very likely you will see natural, spectacular icebergs or whales from this vantage point but hold on to your hats….it’s usually quite windy up here!!
Nothing quite says Newfoundland, though like the true, old-fashioned fishing villages that still exit along the coast such as world famous Petty Harbor.
Or many others that are simply just tucked away or perched in the nooks and crannys of the rocky coastline.
As with all places, at the end of a long and productive day, you can find a sense of peaceful serenity in a colorful sunset
….the Island awaits.
Rugged West Coast Beaches
Rugged Beaches are Beautiful and Majestic as well…
Here are the rocky shores of Carmel, California.

Footprints in the Sand
Where are the most beautiful beaches in the world?
I have found a few but am always on the lookout for more….
Romance, tranquility, serenity…..white powder sand between the toes….
No one else’s footprints before or after yours….the places we dream about…
Imagine It – Live It
Where is YOUR favorite beach??
Bahamas Beaches
Bahamas Beaches
The Islands of the Bahamas are truly a land of majesty & paradise.
They are also one of my favorite places to visit in the whole world!
There are many untouched, pristine, white sand islands just waiting to be explored!
Take a walk on the powdery beaches ….or hang offshore as you bob in the waves.
Wade in the crystal clear Caribbean waters & just feel your troubles melt away.
IMAGINE YOURSELF HERE…
In your room with THIS view of paradise.
First & ONLY Footprints… ALL day…EVERY day!
DREAM IT TODAY…..LIVE IT TOMORROW!!
Welcome Beach Bunnies / Bums!
Having had the fortunate experience of living in Mexico a few years ago, I
explored many of its beautiful beach towns. I also discovered my passion
for the ‘beach bunny’ lifestyle! Ask anyone who really knows me & they will
tell you…I’m either on a beach or making plans to be a beach bum somewhere!!
Ah yes, relaxing on the Lanai at the famous ‘pink palace’…the Royal Hawaiian!
Often I have found myself basking along the white sandy beaches of Hawaii,
however Oahu is the only Island I have visited…so far.
The breathtaking, white powder sand beaches of the Bahamas is
another of my favorite destinations.
Imagine frolicking here in paradise with me…experiencing life…
living in the moment.
Aahhh….this IS the Life!! Living my dreams! Cheers!
p.s. I wouldn’t trade my beach bunny lifestyle for anything!!
