Cruising back into Vancouver’s Coal Harbor after a glorious day out on the waters of Indian Arm, this was the magnificent sunset we had the joy of witnessing!

I love to spend at least part of everyday at or near a beach!
Just sitting, breathing the clean, fresh air..watching the surf break along the sand & feeling the healing energy of Mother Nature is enough to make me realize how lucky I am to have the beach as part of my life.
Peaceful, tranquil & majestic all at once. Uncontrollable beauty with awesome sense of rebellion. What a combination!

Palms in the Breeze
This is what I see now when I look up from my ever so comfortable spot just outside the front door of my new home!
Palm trees…contrast against the deep blue sky, swaying in the gentle, tropical breeze. This is a sight that never gets old for me.
Each day is a new opportunity to discover more of what this fabulous place has to offer.
Give me the chance to plant myself underneath a palm tree & gaze up into the endless clear blue sky & I’ll be there!
Peaceful & serene, these wonders of nature are always a treat for those of us who come from lands where the cold of winter does not allow for them to naturally grace our presence.
There you have it…if you don’t find me sitting under a majestic palm somewhere, you know you WILL see me on the beach!

On the Beach
Here I am….back on the beach and loving every minute of it.
For these types of days, I think the pictures say it all!
This is a sample one of the many beautiful, practically endless beaches you can find when you explore the coastline along the Pacific Ocean.
This particular beach is just off the main road that takes you from Cabo San Lucas to the towns of Cerritos & Todo Santos.
It’s well worth the drive to get out and explore the miles of coastline of the southern tip of the Baja.
Endless deserted, white sandy beaches are waiting to be explored. Those who take the time to venture out of the downtown areas of the Baja will not be disappointed!
Beaches upon beaches and lots of magical moments are yours to find…spectacular and peaceful all at once along these breathtaking sandy shores.

Escape to Mexico
My first winter beach escape this year came in the form of Mexico, a destination
very dear to my heart. Soaking up the sun, breathing in the tropical sights & smells,
walking barefoot in the sand….what a way to reenergize & chase away the winter blues!
My escape to Mexico was just what I needed to break up the monotony
of the snow and rain, so common at this time of the year.
Sitting under a palapa on the beach with not a care in the world….
knowing that for the time being, this was all I had to do each day…
this is what my ultimate escape to Mexico was for me! You should try it!
Beach Escape Needed!
This is a prime example of why it is I dream of the perfect beach escape!!
Although the snow is white and fluffy and lovely as it falls softly making everything
SEEM like a winter wonderland….
It just makes me long for the tropical beaches, the palm trees…ones that are NOT
covered in snow.
So I sit and dream & wait for the chance to make my beach escape happen for me!!
Winter Sunsets
Winter sunsets are just as spectacular as any other sunset…just add the crisp, cool air to the mix and cherish
the magical colorful display…

Autumn Leaves
You know the truth is sometimes, we don’t have to travel far to find beauty.
The autumn leaves are so spectacular this year I am just in awe each time I go
out and take a walk or a drive…these autumn leaves were just along the path
my sister and I were walking on yesterday….majestic in color against the green.
It’s important to stop and look around us, every day and notice the wonder of
nature literally, right at our feet, in our own backyard or right out side our door.
Don’t let the spectacular natural beauty of autumn leaves escape you!
