I love travelling to the East coast…for me it is a trip down memory lane.
The East coast is a magnificent place full of adventure and possibilities…
The down home feeling of the East coast and it’s wonderfully warm
and welcoming people is always worth the trip!
Beach Rocks in the Sand
As I stroll along the rugged beach I look down and what do I see but
many beautiful, colorful beach rocks….scattered through the sand.
Stones in every shape, color and size lay just where Mother Nature has
placed them….somehow creating a magical visual experience.
So, even in the not so balmy weather, even when it rains and the fog has
rolled in, there is much beauty to be seen along the shores if one just
takes the time to stop, look and appreciate the wonders of natural beauty.
Pick a Beach
Pick a beach, any beach….maybe YOUR favorite beach….one that you
have played on and run along since you were just a kid…one that is filled
with many wonderful memories….
Or a beach you have never been to …one that has been elusive thus
far…like the prisine, white sandy beaches of paradise such as in the
Caribbean islands…
Just get out there and explore!! Walk or run in the sand…feel the
cool water on your feet as you wade along the shore…
Pick a beach, any beach…do it today and find yourself there.
Find a way to get yourself there…you will not be sorry. Beaches
are truly some of the best places in the world to find peace and
be at one with nature.

A peaceful day by the water…relax and take in the serenity of the wonder of nature.
Miles and endless miles of beaches to explore. Spectacular adventures no matter what time of the year.
Beach Bunny Fun
Having fun as a beach bunny is where it’s at for me!
Just gotta get to the sand and surf!
Whether it be standing in awe of the rugged beauty
along a rocky coastline,
or strolling along endless, stretches of white, sandy beach.
The rugged Oregon Coast is even a treat in the afternoon fog…
or in the evening at dusk…when the glorious sunset appears.
Beach bunny life is a wonderful thing!
Pacific Coast
The Pacific Coast weather sure has a mind of its own!!
Folks come from all over to enjoy the scenic route that
runs along the Pacific Coast from Vancouver, Canada to
Southern California. Along the way, there are many
different weather patterns to encounter.
From the deepest, darkest fog….
To bright sun on white sandy beaches…..
And the stillnes of the crescent moon rising above
the fog off in the distance. The Pacific Coast has a
lot of things to offer. A journey of indescribable variety.
Take your own journey there and you will see….
Rugged Oregon Coast
Another drive down the rugged Oregon Coast! What an adventure! This spectacular coast is certainly a tempermental place as far as the weather goes.
This morning, of course, the marine fog layer is keeping things nice and cool….beautiful in it’s own way however, not exactly what I was after. Don’t expect hot and sunny every day just because it’s smack in the middle of summer! Take along your jacket and maybe even your umbrella just to be on the safe side.
The enchanting Oregon Coast holds a spectacular view at every turn. Miles of rugged beaches and infinite exploring possibilities. Check it out if you haven’t already!
Spectacular Rugged Sunsets
No matter where in the world you find yourself at the end of a day, it’s possible to find a spectacular sunset.
Although moments mostly not captured, we have all seen hundreds, if not thousands of colorful, spectacular sunsets that no doubt have left us in awe of the wonder & beauty of nature.
From the majestic beauty of a tropical sunset such as in Ixtapa, Mexico…
To the unsuspecting rugged beauty of a beaten down pier at the end of a dyke in Steveston, B.C.
A spectacular prairie sunset in the snow is also a wonder to behold in just the right moment…
Many of us take for granted what beauty surrounds us on a daily basis. Take a look around & remember to see & appreciate the wonder of nature in all it’s rugged beauty & majesty.
California’s Rugged Beauty
Most think of California’s Beaches as anything but rugged beauty!
Take a walk down the pier at Santa Monica, stroll the gorgeous beaches of Santa Barbara…
Hang at Balboa Island, Newport Beach or spend the day watching the toned bodies of the surfers at Huntington Beach & ‘rugged’ beauty is not a term that generally comes to mind!
However, for those who have driven the majestic Pacific Coast Highway of California, you know what I mean when I say…there is MUCH rugged beauty… & so many magical places to discover.
Really taking the time to get up close and personal with some of the natural beauty will be extremely rewarding for anyone lucky enough to take this journey. Flora and fauna scattered throughout the rocks and crevices of the shoreline are quite something to behold.
Beauty is everywhere along this magnificent California Coast. Just waiting to be discovered & appreciated by those who take the time to stop and “smell the roses” along the journey of their lives.
I would suggest taking a partner along for this excursion!! Trust me, it was not easy to do this trip solo!
This is a great trip for a meaningful, introspective experience. However, trying to navigate the winding roads, take in all the rugged beauty of the drive & snap the odd photo along the way can be downright near impossible!!!
